intentions
This Roseville home renovation and addition reimagines an existing saltbox-style house into a more cohesive, comfort-driven, and flexible family home. Working closely with the owners, we are developing a design that adds new basement, main-floor, upper-level and garage space while respecting the character of the original structure. The project balances everyday function with long-term adaptability, creating room for gathering, working, wellness, and aging in place.
The design includes a connected fitness and sauna area in the lower level, a more integrated kitchen, dining, pantry, and mudroom experience on the main floor, and expanded bedroom, bath, and workshop space above. Throughout, the focus has been on practical livability: durable materials, healthy-home strategies, efficient mechanical systems, thoughtful storage, and a warm, moderated exterior expression that ties the old and new together. The result is a home designed to feel more grounded, capable, and comfortable across seasons and stages of life.
